Compostera Comunitaria

Los residuos orgánicos domiciliarios constituyen más del 45% de los residuos que generamos a diario.
Estos residuos tienen la capacidad de transformarse en abono natural para el suelo si se compostan.
El compostaje consiste en un proceso biológico y aeróbico de degradación de los residuos orgánicos, hasta lograr la maduración y estabilidad del producto. En la zona donde vivimos el proceso puede demorar hasta 6 meses aproximadamente.
La compostera es el contenedor donde se depositan estos residuos favoreciendo las condiciones para que se desarrolle el proceso.
En esta oportunidad queremos contarles que instalamos una Compostera Comunitaria en un cantero de la Unidad Académica San Julián, sobre la calle Sargento Cabral. Ésta fue realizada
enteramente con materiales reutilizables y en desuso de aproximadamente 1m3 de capacidad.
El costo de la instalación fue casi nulo (8 tornillos, 30 grampas y 2 bisagras).
El objetivo que nos motivó a instalar esta Compostera Comunitaria, es para que los vecinos que aún no tienen compostera en su domicilio y que estén interesados en separar los residuos orgánicos, lo puedan hacer. Para ello recomendamos que separen en algún recipiente pequeño, de 10 a 20 lts cómo máximo, las cascaras de frutas, verduras y huevos, cascaras de frutos secos, yerba y otra infusiones, servilletas de papel, resto de poda seco y pequeño, hojas y pasto seco, y los depositen en esta compostera.
Es importante que se comuniquen a través de las redes sociales , Facebook , Instagram: @girsunpa o por mail a: programambienteuasj@gmail.com, al menos la primera vez para hacerles llegar algunas recomendaciones del uso, conocernos y poder tener el registro de los usuarios.
Este proyecto es una acción concreta de articulación con el INTA AER San Julián, que además de su asesoramiento continuo, cuenta con una guía de compostaje que les compartimos.
Cuando el material esté maduro para cosechar lo repartiremos entre los usuarios. Y comenzaremos nuevamente el proceso.
